UPDATE:

Project V6KR is VERY close to starting! This weekend I got the new TPS wired in and got the IAT sensor wires ran to be spliced into the MAF. I am using the the IAT from the SC T-bird, the sensor is right before the intake manifold (after intercooler) so the intake charge temp will be more accurate. I got the 02 Mustang CAI to fit with the new intake, it needs to be trimmed, but it will work for now.

Need to start list: Cut and refit plug wires, spark plugs, fill fluids, throttle cable, loop blower to intake plenum, connect fuel lines, A/C delete pulley, finish vacuum lines, o2 sensors and harness extensions and that’s about it…

Keep checking back, first start coming soon!!!

Suzuki LTR450

The Suzuki LTR450 is a good starting platform, but a bit choked up. A pipe and intake can do wonders. The dyno chart shows how our pipe and intake perform when just bolted on. Imagine what you can do with a racing ignition and FI controller! See our website for prices and more information http://www.rotax.net/

Porting

After about 20 hours of work I'm getting pretty close to finishing all my porting work. What I have done so far is the exhaust and intake ports in the cylinder heads, the throttle body, intake plenum, lower intake manifold and also the supercharger case. I will probably be done with everything in about another 6 hours and then I need to go back and polish everything. Some other details that are coming together are: I got the 4.2L crank on Monday and tomorrow I will be ordering rods, pistons, cam, bearings, main studs and a few other odds and ends.

Here are some phone pictures of some port work just for a basic idea of what has been done. Hopefully I will be able to round up a new camera pretty soon and get some high quality pictures.

IT'S IN!!!

Last night we got the engine and transmission bolted in the car. FINALLY! Last week the hard drive in my laptop exploded so it will take some extra time to get pictures posted. Tonight I will be bolting on the supercharger, intake plenums and some front accessories/brackets. Keep checking back for all the progress and info!

Vroom!

To get it running the short list is... Hook up fuel line and regulator, mount coil pack and run plug wires, hook up intake tube, loop the blower and intake plenums, PCV, install the headers and spark plugs, turn a few things off in the PCM, add coolant,  dip stick, vacuum lines, a/c delete install and I'm sure there are a few more things, but that is all I can think of at the moment (I'm bored in class.)
Some of the other major things I need to do are... Put the driveshaft back in, upgrade fuel pump, put in a fuel return line, install intercooler, heat exchanger/pump and plumbing, intercooler piping, install the new read diff. and gears, dyno tune, remove old exhaust system, get new TSP and IAC connectors, MAF upgrade and again there is more I just can't remember.
I hope you keep checking back for updates, this slow process is quite painful, thanks for all the support!
