A big step in the right direction.
I got a lot of work done this weekend! The biggest completion was getting the headers installed. (They are awesome.) As you can see in the pictures below I had to do a little teardown to get them in, but both only took a half hour to get them both bolted on. For the right side I had to unbolt the supercharger in order to let the header move past the throttle body and then had to pull the valve cover to drop it all the way down. The driver side header pushed right into place coming up from the bottom, it got a little tight on the steering shaft. After that came the dip stick which was actually tricky since the hole in the block is BEHIND the motor mount… Good one Ford. I got the drive shaft bolted in and a few other little tings. FINALLY!! FINALLY!! FINALLY!!
I FINALLY got my crankshaft back yesterday and it even looks like they balanced it! After two and a half months it’s here. So, this weekend I will have the short block mostly assembled. I will get the crank, rods and pistons put in for sure. I will post pictures as we get more done.

Block Work
Started machining the block today. I am just going to deglaze and even the cylinder walls. I was planning on boring the block +0.030" but I got a very good deal on 3.810" pistons so I'm no longer going down that road. Here are a few pictures of the block in the hone.

I Got Goodies!
I got the frozenboost.com DIY intercooler kit today. It came with the intercooler, heat exchanger, water pump and a 7" fan with install kit. I have to say this stuff is awesome! The material is very heavy duty and well built. Shipped weight was 27 pounds with only a couple or so pounds being the boxes and such. I finished college last night so I'll be moving back to where the car is tomorrow. Now I can actually get some work done! I will have more pictures of mock up shortly followed soon by some start up videos. The to do list is pretty short.
