FINALLY!! FINALLY!! FINALLY!!
I FINALLY got my crankshaft back yesterday and it even looks like they balanced it! After two and a half months it’s here. So, this weekend I will have the short block mostly assembled. I will get the crank, rods and pistons put in for sure. I will post pictures as we get more done.

Block Work
Started machining the block today. I am just going to deglaze and even the cylinder walls. I was planning on boring the block +0.030" but I got a very good deal on 3.810" pistons so I'm no longer going down that road. Here are a few pictures of the block in the hone.

Camshaft
Got the cam back from Isky Racing Cams today. It was reground to 214/214 0.502”/0.502” 112deg. Tonight we will be file fitting the piston rings, getting the rods and pistons in and put on the timing set. I now have all the major parts and pieces so a lot of progress will be made. Will post pictures soon.

Progress
The engine assembly has finally begun. The crank is in the block minus the one rear bearing I’m waiting for, the supercharged bearing I got was too tight. Once that gets put in I need to file fit the piston rings and install the rods and pistons. Waiting on the cam, Still need to call Isky to see what grinds they have and if they will cut mine (218/224 .550”/.550” 112). That’s it for now keep checking for updates, I will be up and running by the end of the summer.
